Read the ECD career & money guide ↗Roles depend on experience, employer requirements, compliance and, in some cases, further study. A qualification does not guarantee employment or income.
Clarity before commitment
Good decisions begin with honest information. Ask about the requirements, total fees, study rhythm and career direction specific to your situation.
It is especially relevant to experienced practitioners and people aiming for advanced classroom, curriculum, supervisory or centre-management responsibility. Admissions will confirm your entry route.
It can support a Grade R career pathway, but school and employer requirements vary and a further recognised teaching route may be required. Confirm current requirements before making a study decision.
The programme can strengthen educational, leadership and operational capability. Running a centre also requires local compliance, registration, suitable premises, safeguarding, financial planning and responsible management.
Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Accumulation and Transfer may apply in some cases, but decisions are institution-specific. Keep certificates, results, portfolios, practical records and references.
